JANUARY DRR’S ADDRESS VOCATIONAL SERVICE MONTH

Happy New Year. I wish you renewed strength, clarity of purpose, and abundant opportunities to grow, serve, and lead in the year ahead.
Vocational Service challenges us with a simple but bold question: How are you using what you know to serve others? As Rotaractors, excellence in our vocations is inseparable from our commitment to service. Our skills, professions, and callings are powerful tools for impact when aligned with purpose.
DECEMBER RECAP
• December 6: The DRRE and I attended the Rotary District 9112 Multi-Club Learning Seminar (Zone 6) held at OOUTH. This marked the conclusion of the seminar series, and we are proud to have participated in all six seminars across Zones 1 to 6.
• December 10: In partnership with Rotary Districts 9111 and 9112 and the Rotary Clubs of Victoria Island East and Eko Cosmopolitan, we carried out a Prostate Cancer Screening and Awareness Project at the Rotary Centre, Ikeja. A total of 100 men were screened. An additional 400 men were screened at the Family of Rotary event held on December 13, 2025.
• December 13: We celebrated the Rotary District Family of Rotary (FOR) Celebration at the Police College, Ikeja. It was a fun-filled and memorable gathering that strengthened bonds across the Rotary family. Moments like this remind us that fellowship remains the heart of Rotary.
• December 17: We attended the Rotary District Christmas Carol and Nine Lessons Service.
• ROTA-TECH: The Digital Marketing and Product Design courses have concluded their training and final assessments, while other courses remain ongoing.
• PELS 2026: I encourage all club presidents to ensure their presidents-elect are duly reported to Rotary International and to the District Learning Facilitator team.
• Club Investitures: We attended the investiture ceremonies of the Rotaract Clubs of Ijebu Ode, Lagos, and LASUED Epe.
THE ROTARY FOUNDATION
In December, Rotaract District 9112 contributed $460 to The Rotary Foundation, bringing our total contribution to over $2,000 for the first half of the Rotary year. Thank you to all clubs and individual donors for sustaining our culture of giving.
