ATITEBI Ismail Abiodun (TebiTALKs | Tebi)

District Rotaract Representative Elect

Atitebi Ismail Abiodun, widely known as TebiTALKs or simply Tebi, is a dynamic leader, Rotaractor, data analyst, and governance enthusiast with a passion for service, leadership, and youth empowerment. With over seven years of active volunteerism and community engagement, he has dedicated himself to capacity building, policy-making, and fostering meaningful change in society.

A graduate of the University of Lagos, where he studied Cell Biology and Genetics (Genetics Major), Tebi has never been one to limit himself to just academics. His journey in governance and leadership started early, and over the years, he has built a strong track record of impact, both within and beyond the Rotaract community.

Rotaract and Leadership in Service

Tebi’s Rotaract story is one of commitment, service, and leadership. As a past President of the Rotaract Club of Kingfarm, he steered the club toward greater impact, implementing projects that addressed real community challenges. Beyond the club level, he has served in multiple district committees, taking on key leadership roles where he played a crucial part in strategy, project execution, and strengthening collaborations. His deep understanding of Rotaract’s mission and his ability to inspire action have earned him the privilege of serving as the District Rotaract Representative (DRR) for Rotaract District 9112 for the Rotary Year 2025-2026. In this role, he will lead a diverse team of young professionals and volunteers, working to extend Rotary’s reach, uplift underserved communities, and drive sustainable impact.

Governance, Advocacy & Policy Engagement

Beyond Rotaract, Tebi has distinguished himself in governance and student leadership. He served as the immediate past Speaker of the University of Lagos Science Students’ Association House of Representatives, where he championed policies that improved student welfare and representation. Under his leadership, the House remained the only active student parliament on campus, reinforcing the importance of structured governance in student affairs.

He was also the immediate past Treasurer of the National Youth Council of Nigeria, Orile Agege Local Branch, where he played a strategic role in financial planning and youth-focused policy initiatives.

In recognition of his commitment to youth development and governance, Tebi was appointed as a Lagos State Youth Ambassador (2022-2024), a prestigious role where he worked alongside other young changemakers to influence youth policies, drive community projects, and advocate for better opportunities for young people across Lagos State. This experience further strengthened his resolve to foster leadership, inclusivity, and civic engagement among Nigerian youths.

Technology, Data, & Social Impact

At his core, Tebi is a problem solver and strategist. As a Data Analyst, he has successfully merged data-driven insights with leadership and governance, recognizing the power of data in shaping policies and driving innovation. More than just technical expertise, he is a passionate educator and mentor, having trained over 30 aspiring data analysts, equipping them with the skills needed to thrive in today’s digital economy.

In addition to his data expertise, Tebi serves as the Project Lead at Smatcom Africa, a social impact startup dedicated to bridging the technological gap in society. Through Smatcom Africa, he is helping individuals and businesses make technologically informed decisions, live smarter, and adopt innovative solutions that ease ways of doing business. His work in this space aligns with his broader mission of leveraging technology and data for social good, economic development, and improved quality of life.

Lifelong Learning and Professional Development

Tebi’s commitment to growth is evident in his pursuit of continuous learning and professional development. He holds a graduate certification from the Management Institute of Finland, a fully sponsored study tour by the Lagos State Government and an mMBA from Tekedia Institute, Boston, USA, further solidifying his expertise in business management, strategy, and leadership.

Vision and Belief

A firm believer in networking, unlearning, and relearning, Tebi thrives on collaboration and innovation. Whether in Rotaract, governance, data analytics, or technology, he remains committed to mentorship, impact-driven leadership, and leveraging data for social good. His philosophy is simple yet profound:

Every dream is valid—what matters is the courage to pursue it.
